Our Values
& Principles

Building Foundations for Purposeful Lives

We are a Bible values-based institute dedicated to the betterment of everyone we come into contact with — laying the groundwork for our cohorts to be better members of society, improve their communities, and pursue their God-given purpose.

Our Mission

"We are in education not to indoctrinate — but to lay the groundwork for all our cohorts to be better members of society."

Our mission is to develop skilled, confident, and purpose-driven professionals who have the spine to do what is right and the clarity to pursue what is meaningful — in their careers, communities, and lives.

Core Values

The Principles That Guide Us

These values are not aspirational posters on a wall. They shape every programme, every session, every interaction between our trainers and students.

01

Biblical Foundation

All our services and programmes are grounded in Biblical principles. We believe true education encompasses spiritual, moral, and intellectual development — not just technical competence.

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." — Proverbs 22:6

02

Excellence

We believe in and practise excellence in all our endeavours. From our training programmes to our administration, we hold ourselves to the highest standard — and we expect the same from every student.

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." — Colossians 3:23

03

Purpose-Driven Education

We don't just train for jobs — we help students discover and pursue their God-given purpose. Our approach combines professional skill-building with personal development and spiritual clarity.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." — Jeremiah 29:11

04

Community Impact

We are committed to developing individuals who will positively impact their communities. Our programmes emphasise service, responsibility, and ethical leadership — not just personal advancement.

"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden." — Matthew 5:14

05

Character Development

We prioritise the development of strong moral character, integrity, and resilience. Our students learn to do what is right even when it's difficult — because character is what endures beyond the classroom.

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." — Galatians 5:22–23

06

Holistic Growth

We nurture the complete person — mind, body, and spirit. Our educational approach addresses intellectual, emotional, professional, and spiritual development as inseparable dimensions of a whole life.

"May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless." — 1 Thessalonians 5:23

Our Objectives

Guiding Scripture
Romans 12:2

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will."

— Romans 12:2

This verse sits at the heart of what Mebban does. We train for transformation — not just employment. Our graduates leave not just with skills, but with renewed minds, renewed purpose, and the confidence to act on both.

Know yourself. Value yourself. Push yourself. Believe in yourself. Build yourself.

These five Swahili principles frame the inner journey every Mebban student takes alongside their professional training.

Operating Principles

S.I.T.E — How We Operate

These are not values on a poster. They are the operating principles of every session, every programme, every interaction.

S Service

We exist to serve our students, our community, and our industry. Every action is measured by the value it creates for others.

I Integrity

We honour our commitments — to students, to partners, and to each other. Integrity is not situational here.

T Teamwork

We believe no one succeeds alone. Collaboration, peer support, and collective excellence are built into everything we do.

E Excellence

We set and hold the highest standards — in delivery, in assessment, in conduct, and in the careers we help build.
